The World Health Organization has officially unveiled the cost of attaining the health targets across the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have calculated the Global SDG Health Price Tag.
The Health systems Governance and Financing Department @WHO has crunched the numbers and come up with strong analytics for the forthcoming 15 years (across health functions and areas).
The cost of the Global SDG Health Price Tag amounts to $371 Billion per year until 2030. This is an additional $58 per capita by 2030. The cost is high.
But the cost of inaction is human lives. We could prevent 97 million premature deaths by 2030. We could add up to 8.4 years of healthy lives. So who will make the investment? How do we split the bill?
