The AMED scheme is one of the three schemes provided for in the CSU Law, and Chad plans to start implementing the Health Insurance Scheme through the AMED scheme.
As part of the process of making the AMED scheme operational, Chad asked the P4H network for support in carrying out a study on the institutional framework to be put in place for the scheme’s launch. The international firm SwissTph was then recruited by GIZ to conduct the study.
The interim workshop, which opens tomorrow, will serve as a consultation framework for all national players and TFPs involved in the CSU process, and will enable SwissTph’s consultants to complete the information already collected and to specify the options for an effective institutional and organizational set-up for AMED.
