The Thai UHC Journey Workshop 2025, themed ‘Sustainable UHC for Better Health: The SAFE Path—Sustainability, Adequacy, Fairness, and Efficiency,’ will take place in Bangkok from November 24–28, 2025. Applications are open until September 19.
The Thai UHC Journey Workshop 2025 is co-hosted by prominent health organizations in Thailand, including the National Health Security Office, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the National Health Commission Office, and the International Health Policy Program Foundation (IHPP Foundation) in cooperation with WHO Country Cooperation Strategy on Enhancing Leadership in Global Health-Thailand (CCS-EnLIGHT) and GLO+UHC Phase 3 Partnership Project.
The workshop, scheduled for November 24–28, 2025, aims to showcase Thailand’s experiences in sustainable health financing and policy innovation, while promoting mutual learning and capacity-building among countries working to build resilient, equitable, and inclusive Universal Health Coverage (UHC) systems.
The host organizations will cover the workshop venue, meeting package (including two coffee breaks and lunch each day), teaching materials, and the study visit for the entire duration of the workshop.
To encourage participation from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), the program offers the following support:
- Four partial scholarships (up to USD 1,000 each) for selected participants from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Lao PDR. These cover round-trip airfare and 4 nights of accommodation, based on need and available funding.
- Five accommodation support for LMIC participants for the duration of the workshop. Other costs, including airfare, must be covered by the participants.
