Ensuring access to comprehensive and quality health care is one of the key policy objectives in Thailand. Since 2005, HIV/AIDS related health services have been included in Universal Health Coverage Scheme (UCS)’s benefit package. Over 17 years, the benefit package has been continuously improved and expanded to provide better health service coverage and financial protection among its members. In the 2021 fiscal year, 3.6 billion baht was additionally allocated to the UCS to expand HIV/AIDs service coverage and benefit for the high-risk and vulnerable people.
