For three days, exchanges between African experts provided an opportunity to examine the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on program-budget reform and the effectiveness of public policies in the WAEMU region, and to draw lessons from the pandemic concerning the implementation of this reform and its contribution to the effectiveness of public policies, particularly in the health sector.
Following discussions, a partnership was formed between the Centre Africain d’Etudes Supérieures en Gestion (CESAG) and the Centre d’Analyse et de Renforcement des Capacités du Togo (CADERT), with the aim of strengthening the analysis and management of economic policies and development programs in Togo.
The value of this partnership lies in the fact that it provides a framework for capitalizing on the experience and know-how of the two Centers to better generate and transmit the knowledge needed to support program budget reform in Togo and the sub-region.
