The Thai UHC Journey Workshop 2024 on “Health Promotion: A Transformative Path Towards Sustainable Health and Well-being” will be held in Bangkok from November 4-8, 2024, with applications open until September 6.
This international event is co-hosted by prominent health organizations in Thailand, including the Ministry of Public Health, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the National Health Security Office, the National Health Commission Office (NHCO), and the International Health Policy Program Foundation in collaboration with the ThaiHealth Academy and the Enhancing Leadership on Global Health-Thailand Program under the WHO Country Cooperation Strategy.
The workshop will focus on the essential role of health promotion in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), amidst contemporary global challenges such as pandemics and rising noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
The workshop’s objectives include learning about health promotion as a transformative path to sustainable health and well-being, exchanging national and international movements on health promotion, and building networks to promote health and UHC. Expected outcomes are that participants will learn key elements for successful health promotion, apply the knowledge in their country contexts, and expand their professional networks.
Applications are open until Friday, September 6, 2024. This event offers a valuable opportunity for health professionals to gain knowledge and foster collaborations for sustainable health and well-being.
