After 08 years of implementation program based budgeting, the Ministry of Health has deemed it necessary to ensure consistency between the performance indicators of the program budget and those monitored by the Ministry of Health through DHIS2 at national level. The DHIS 2 has been adjusted to take into account some indicators which were relevant for program budget. This coherence makes it possible to streamline the mechanisms for collecting data and monitoring the achievement of indicator targets that can be linked to the budget. However, this monitoring of performance is just for following up program budget and is not used for performance based financing to the health facilities.
