The Unit Head will provide senior technical leadership, coordinate programme activities, manage resources effectively, and serve as a key technical reference within the UN system. Key responsibilities include building partnerships, representing WHO in global forums, and guiding efforts to operationalise WHO’s normative guidance on health financing at the country level.
Qualified candidates should possess an advanced degree in economics, health economics, or public policy, with a focus on health financing, along with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in health financing management. Strong policy development, team management, and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in English.
