This report presents the results of the latest assessment of health financing (2024) in Cameroon using the Health Financing Progress Matrix (WHO’s standardized assessment tool for health financing policies). It highlights the strengths and weaknesses of health financing policies in relation to global standards, and identifies key priorities, such as stability of public allocations, harmonization of financing regimes, and improved planning, monitoring and accountability in the use of public resources. The assessment offers data-driven advice to policy-makers on how to accelerate progress towards Universal Health Coverage.
