This article outlines the government of Kuwait’s response to the health crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic and the course of action that it has undertaken to protect the public health of its citizens and residents. The policy report includes an early cost/benefit analysis and channeling healthcare funds to safeguard the health system from the sudden rise in service demand. The government also suspended the payment of social insurance premiums by workers in the private and oil companies, owners of small and medium enterprises, for six months.
