The pharmaceutical sector in Burkina Faso is entering a new phase: that of institutional reform. The Ministry has resolved to set up pharmaceutical structures in line with WHO, African Union and UEMOA recommendations. The aim of this reform is to separate the regulatory functions from the normative ones, and to improve access to quality health products with proven safety, while taking into account the principles of equity, gender and equality.
