Current healthcare expenditure (DCS) amounted to 241,156.6 million CFA francs in 2017; 240,540.6 million CFA francs in 2018 and 242,247.1 million CFA francs in 2019. Capital expenditure amounts to CFAF 14,543.0 million in 2017, CFAF 18,499.8 million in 2018 and CFAF 15,798.1 million in 2019.
Direct payments by households accounted for 61.5% in 2017; 64.7% in 2018 and 66.2% in 2019 of current healthcare expenditure, compared with 21.9%; 24.3% and 20.2% respectively in 2017, 2018 and 2019 for public administration schemes and compulsory contributory healthcare funding schemes.
