Bhutan considering third dose of Covid-19 vaccine booster next year

Bhutan considers a booster dose of Covid-19 vaccines next year due to Delta variant concerns.

Bhutan has achieved full vaccination for over 95 percent of the population aged 18 years or over. Currently, Bhutan starts inoculating children aged between 12 to 18 years.

Health authorities have collected more than 4,000 samples: the young, the old, those with comorbidities, and those with compromised immune systems. The results of the study would show the antibodies across different groups of the population. This will help authorities to plan the future strategy for the booster shots. To read more, please click
