Cameroon: CSU pilot phase architecture adopted

In the process of implementing As part of this reform of the healthcare system, aimed at guaranteeing equitable access to healthcare for all Cameroonians, the Government has set up a multi-sectoral National Technical Group CSU (GTN-CSU), co-chaired by the Minister of Public Health and the Minister of Labour and Social Security. The main mission of this group is to make proposals to the Government on the various aspects of implementing the CSU in Cameroon.

With regard to  of this mission, the definition of the architecture  The CSU is a coherent set of mechanisms or instruments for pooling and managing funds to enable the collective assumption of costs linked to access to health care and services. This architecture is at the heart of the process, with a national body in charge of managing Universal Health Coverage, responsible for all the CSU’s insurance functions, from registration to reimbursement of healthcare providers and services.
