Cameroon: the World Bank and Activa Group commit to building an insurance model based on the female gender

(Investir au Cameroun) – On April 13, Richard Lowe, CEO of Groupe Activa, and Mehita Sylla, representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a subsidiary of the World Bank, signed a cooperation agreement for the ” Femmes Assurance ” program.

Activa, a leader in the insurance sector in Cameroon, explains that this is a partnership to ” build an insurance model based on the female gender, which would enable Cameroonian and African women to better manage the risks they face “.

The aim is also to give women access to better financial protection mechanisms, through insurance solutions tailored to their specific needs.

IFC recalls that the ” Women Insurance ” program is based on the ” She for Shield ” report. The report points out that by 2030, the women’s market will represent an opportunity worth around 1 700 billion dollars for the insurance sector, with 50% of the opportunity coming from emerging countries.

And in this case, the female population of Cameroon could be a major market, especially as the country’s ambition is to become an emerging country by around this time.
