“Starting this year, universal health coverage is to be implemented in N’Djaména as a pilot program”.
The announcement comes from the Head of State himself, who intends to make healthcare a priority sector of his mandate. As a reminder, the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) law was passed on June 3, 2019, confirming its willingness and ambition to embark, from 2020, on the challenge of providing health coverage to all its compatriots. The introduction of the CSU in Chad aims to improve living conditions by facilitating access for Chadians to a minimum of quality health care. More than 266 billion CFA francs are earmarked to meet this ambitious challenge.
