In 2020, more than 250 million francs were paid out to health facilities as part of the free healthcare scheme for children and pregnant women.
The announcement was made by , Director General of the Universal Health Coverage Agency (Acmu), on the bangs of a tour that took him to the commune of Tambacounda. For Dr. Bocar Mamadou Daff, the public health establishment received 182 571 500 francs and the districts, more than 172 000 000 francs.
These amounts,” explains the head of Acmu, “only concern invoices relating to free healthcare for target groups. In his opinion, this is a clear illustration of the State of Senegal’s commitment to helping people gain access to quality healthcare.
