Immunization plan against COVID-19 in Tajikistan implemented at 40%

As of September 20, Tajikistan has managed to vaccinate 2 million 307 thousand 140 people (39.6%) – citizens of the country against COVID-19 as expected by the national plan.

1 million 565 thousand 281 citizens of the country received the second dose of the vaccine before that date, reports NIAT Khovar with reference to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the country’s population.

It is reported that the immunization campaign among the population of the capital of the country – the city of Dushanbe has been completed by 99.6%.

In accordance with the decision of the Republican Headquarters to strengthen anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of the new COVID-19 infection in the Republic of Tajikistan, published on July 3, vaccination against infectious diseases is mandatory for citizens over 18 years of age.

Persons who have not received a vaccine against coronavirus infection should contact family doctors or medical organizations in their place of residence.

Vaccination is carried out free of charge for citizens of the country.
