Thai Cabinet has approved an extension of the Social Security contribution reduction for both employers and workers for another three months, from September to November, aiming to assist businesses and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the reduction of monthly contributions, both employers and employees under section 33 under the Social Security Act will pay half of the contributions, which reduce from 5% to 2.5 % of their payroll each month.
Meanwhile, self-employed workers according to Article 39 of the Social Security Act receive a reduction of contribution from the full amount of 432 baht to 235 baht per month. To read more, please click.
