Kazakhstan will start building more affordable housing.
The new housing program – “5-10-20” speaks for itself. Five percent is the loan rate, 10 percent is the down payment for future housing, and 20 years is the period of the housing loan. So far, these are the most attractive terms for the majority of the country.
“We will allocate 390 billion tenges (national currency) for these purposes as part of anti-crisis funds,” said President Tokayev during the final meeting of the State Commission on emergency situations.
In his speech, the Head of state noted that the state of emergency has ended in the country, but the virus still continues to pose a threat. Therefore, quarantine restrictions in the regions will be lifted depending on the improvement of the situation.
According to the Minister of Finance, to combat the COVID-19, the Government of Kazakhstan allocated more than $91,2 million from the National Reserve for the prevention measures and food packages for those who are in need.

The government took several measures for social support at these times – mortgages and utility bills postponed, as well as business owners, became subjects to tax relief. Self–employed were supported as well.
Meanwhile, last week, RCHD revealed the decision to allow almost a third of employees to remain working from home after the lockdown is over.
“This solution allows our organization to save funds and redistribute them to further improvements, as well as allows our team to maintain better work-life balance,”- commented director-general, Dr. Kanat Tossekbayev.
