Malaysia announces new threshold measurement indicator to move between phases 1 and 2 of the National Recovery plan

Malaysia government announces new symptomatic Covid-19 infections as an indicator for the National Recovery Plan (NRP). The threshold will be no more than 2,000 symptomatic cases requiring hospitalisation in order to move from Phase One to Phase Two of the NRP, or approximately 6.1 cases per 100,000 residents. Symptomatic cases refer to patients in Categories Three (severe acute respiratory infection), Four (requiring intensive care) and Five (requiring intensive care and intubation).
