Mozambique has embarked in the new phase of costing health services with the One Health tool, supported by WHO. The objective is to approximate costs of all programs and cost items of the health system. This is an essential part of planning and budgetary processes that impacts negotiations with Ministry of Finance.

This costing is complementary to the one being carried for the Essential Services Package (PECS), and is the continuation of the last complete costing performed with the One Health tool (Dutta, 2014).
