Niger’s Minister of Health gave an explanatory statement on the draft law on CMU at a Cabinet meeting held at last Monday under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.
At the end of the meeting, all the ministers were sensitive to the importance of implementing the CMU project.
– In principle, the CMU architecture has been retained, and ministers are invited to send their comments on the CSU strategy document to the Minister of Health;
-the Prime Minister has asked that the content of the law be streamlined and that a certain number of details be left to application decrees,
– the three projects (strategy, law and INAM) will be presented together at a future meeting.
– a welcome appeasement between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Protection.
