The meeting deliberated on the status of the Health Financing Strategy and proposed measures for consideration by Health Development Partners (HDPs) to expedite the development of the strategy. The meeting noted (a) the development of the strategy has been bogged by delays; (b) comments submitted earlier by P4H had not been incorporated in the recently circulated draft Health Financing Strategy; and (c) conceptual differences on the focus of the strategy i.e., on whether or not the strategy should be the main vehicle for health sector reform.
