Mission schedule: meetings with consultants carrying out UHC assessment; NHIF; MoH; Technical Working Group (TWG) UHC; Inter-agency Coordination Committee Health Care Financing (ICC HCF); parliamentarians; for detailed schedule click here
Context:
- The mission follows the P4H Health Financing Strategy (HFS) review mission in March 2012;
- Since then, the recommendation to revive the Inter-agency Coordinating Committee Health Care Financing (ICC-HCF) has been taken up and three Technical Working Groups (TWG) have been formed (UHC, NHIF and Quality/Regulation) under the ICC HCF;
- The TWG UHC has prepared TOR for a UHC assessment and the development of options and has separately contracted three consultants for the respective sub-components of the TOR: HF functions, institutional arrangements and services/benefits.
- The assessments are ongoing; reports are expected in Feb 2014.
