The World Bank Geneva Office invites you to join others from the Geneva international community to the presentation of the latest report “From Double Shock to Double Recovery – Implications and Options for Health Financing in the Time of COVID-19”.
Background: More than a year and a half into the COVID-19 pandemic, the crisis continues to pose complex challenges for recovery. “From Double Shock to Double Recovery – Implications and Options for Health Financing in the Time of COVID-19” analyses the IMF’s macro-economic projections and their implications for countries’ health spending choices for ending the pandemic and regaining lost ground in universal health coverage, essential for a return to sustained and inclusive growth.
Distinguished panelists will offer their perspective on the report’s health spending forecasts and what is needed to ensure an inclusive and sustained recovery.
The event will also serve as a welcome to Juan Pablo Uribe, the new World Global Director for Health, Nutrition and Population, and Director of the Global Financing Facility (GFF).
