A Health Response Plan worth 95 billion 880 million FCFA has been drawn up by the President of the Republic with the aim of breaking the chain of transmission of the disease, guaranteeing the best possible care for sufferers, isolating and monitoring people who have been in contact with the disease.

The government is committed to the rapid implementation of this plan, for which a fund of 25 billion FCFA has been set up from our own resources. Discussions are underway with technical and financial partners to mobilize additional resources.
Progress in implementing the health response plan is as follows:
– the capacity to collect and analyze suspected cases has been strengthened;
– the extension of treatment sites for positive cases is underway both in Abidjan and in the interior of the country;
– all urgent orders for protective equipment have been placed;
– the strengthening of the health care system is underway;
– stocks of medicines are available to meet needs.
In his address to the Nation, the President of the Republic also instructed the Government to assess the economic and financial impact of the pandemic, and to propose a support plan for the population and the private sector.
