Thailand will end special insurance coverage for COVID-19 patients in July - P4H Network

Thailand will end special insurance coverage for COVID-19 patients in July

During the pandemic, Covid-19 patients were able to seek treatment from hospitels or other hospitals, including the private sector. Since early 2020, over 150 billion baht (USD 4.19 billion) has been allocated for Covid-19 treatment.

As Thailand’s situation is improving, COVID-19 related medical services will be reverted to the previous system. COVID-19 patients need to access treatment based on their health insurance entitlements, starting from 1 July.
