In May 2025, reform of the Central African Republic’s healthcare system gathered pace. At a workshop attended by 100 people, several documents were drawn up to provide a framework for investment in human resources for health (HRH).
As part of the drive to strengthen the healthcare system in the Central African Republic (CAR), human resources in health will now benefit from strategic governance and financing documents. These documents were discussed and worked on at a meeting held in CAR in May 2025, which brought together around 100 different stakeholders, including government representatives, technical experts, civil society and partners. These documents are expected to help lay the foundations for a more equitable and resilient healthcare system. An investment package for human resources in health (HHR investment plan and pact) is currently being drawn up.
