The Seventh Global Symposium on Health Systems Research

The Seventh Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2022) will take place at the Ágora Bogotá Centro de Convenciones in Bogota, Colombia from October 31 – November 4, 2022, bringing together approximately 2,000 health systems researchers, policymakers and practitioners from around the world.

Read more about the theme of the Symposium – Health Systems Performance in the Political Agenda: Sharing lessons for current and future global challenges.

HSR2022 will be hosted by Health Systems Global, co-sponsors, supporters and a consortium of organisations from Colombia led by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, headquartered in Bogotá and Cali, the Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, the Universidad de Cartagena, the Universidad Colegio Mayor Nuestra Señora del Rosario, and the San Ignacio University Hospital in Bogotá, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Colombia. In addition, a number of organizing committees contribute to the smooth organization and running of the Symposium.

The Global Symposium on Health Systems Research is organised every two years by Health Systems Global to bring together the full range of players involved in health systems and policy research and practice. Beginning with the First Global Symposium in Montreux in 2010, the Symposia have played a crucial, catalytic role in convening a global community dedicated to strengthening health systems and building the field of health systems research. The Symposia are delivered with a set of core principles (PDF) in mind.
