The German healthcare system - P4H Network

The German healthcare system

Germany’s healthcare system is founded on its Basic Law, mandating the state to provide sufficient, needs-based medical treatment and medicine. The federal government may fulfill this directly or delegate to states via service contracts. The system is highly complex, with intricate structures and funding challenging even for experts to fully understand.
