On 24/01/2019, the Council of Ministers adopted the draft bill on Universal Health Coverage in Chad. This event reflects the government’s determination to speed up the process of setting up the CSU milestones in Chad. The document adopted sets the general principles as set out in the Health Insurance Scheme guidance document, adopted in July 2018 by the High Committee for Monitoring the National Strategy for Universal Health Coverage. The bill will be put to the vote of Parliament during its first session of the current year which opens on March 04, 2019.
