The Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal has endorsed a new Health Financing (HF) Strategy for 2023-2033.
P4H Network has been part of process for developing the country’s National Health Financing Strategy through the Rapid Results Initiative of the L4UHC Programme and continues to support health systems development in Nepal.
The ten-year strategy encompasses interventions to expand fiscal space for health, strengthen social protection, improve resource generation, and improve health financing governance, accountability, and transparency in the health sector. It aims to ensure health as a fundamental right for all Nepalese citizens, equitable financial management and lead to universal health coverage.
