The Department of Health and the Philippines Health Insurance Corporation (commonly known as PhilHealth) has formulated a new home care benefit package for Covid 19 patients that will include “cost mechanisms”, among others.
The “holistic” home care package aims to integrate the allocation of treatment, telemedicine and the One Covid-19 Referral Centre services as well as expand access to primary care physicians who can monitor patients either in-person or virtually.
