The Argentine Integrated Health Services Plan was created with the aim of contributing to the development of an integrated, equitable and sustainable health model that guarantees the population’s effective access to comprehensive and quality health care.
The main objectives are
(a) Increase the effective and equitable coverage of health services.
b) Support the integration and coordination between the public and private sub-sectors and the national and provincial social security systems.
c) To provide explicit financial protection through consumable materials and supplies, services and financial transfers defined under a results-based financing model.
d) Strengthen health service networks.
e) Promote the development of a comprehensive drug and health technology management strategy.
