The Health Sector Program 2020 – 2024 is a program derived from the National Development Plan 2019-2024, which establishes the objectives, strategies and actions with which the different institutions of the Federal Public Administration are governed in order to materialize the right to health protection.
Its priority objectives are:
1. To guarantee public health services to the entire population that does not have social security.
To increase efficiency, effectiveness and quality in the processes of the National Health System (NHS) in order to provide comprehensive public health care and social assistance.
3. Increase human and infrastructure capacity in the institutions that make up the SNS, especially in regions with high marginalization in order to respond to health priorities under a differentiated, intercultural and rights-based approach.
Guarantee the effectiveness of public health strategies, programs and actions, based on timely and reliable information that facilitates health promotion and prevention, as well as epidemiological control.
5. Improve health protection under a comprehensive approach that prioritizes prevention and awareness of health risks and timely treatment and control of diseases.
