The budget of the Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS) must have internal and external sources of financing for its sustainability over time and the fulfillment of the mission for which it was created. These include ordinary resources from the General Budget of the Republic, directly collected resources generated from the operation of the SIS, resources from donations and non-refundable contributions from governments, international cooperation agencies, as well as contributions from individuals, public or private institutions and the resources transferred by the Intangible Solidarity Health Fund.
