Public Health Law 41

It establishes the basic principles for the regulation of social relations in the area of public health with the purpose of contributing to guaranteeing health promotion, disease prevention, health restoration, social rehabilitation of patients and social assistance in Cuba.
The organization of public health and the provision of services are based mainly on the guarantee of the right of the entire population to have their health adequately cared for and protected anywhere in the national territory, and on the state character of the institutions, the free provision of health services and medical assistance, in accordance with the regulations established for this purpose.
